Sheep judging at Dartmouth Fatstock market original artwork by Lys Flowerday - I TOLD YOU

Original colour drawing,  pen and ink with pastel

The Christmas festive season in the small town of Dartmouth, Devon begins each year with the much awaited Dartmouth Fatstock Show in the Old Market. A day where town and country meet and local farmers proudly present their noble cattle, patient sheep and dressed poultry for judging and prize-giving, ending with a grand finale auction. A rare, celebratory and timeless event that can also be a moving experience for what it reveals of man's relationship with nature.
